SCOPE Command
The SCOPE Command High Frequency Global Communication System (HFGCS) consists of 14 highly automated, High Frequency (HF) radio stations worldwide that provide voice and data services to globally deployed airborne and ground users. The Joint Interoperability Test Command (JITC) is the Responsible Test Organization (RTO) for the SCOPE Command HF radio system modernization program.
The JITC is also supporting the development of a network model for the HFGCS. This model will allow managers to observe network operations and functionality. The model is current restricted to the HFGCS Program Office and requires a password to unzip the archive. Additional information can found on the GenetScope/NETSIM2 page.
High Frequency Industry Association
The HFTF is associated with the High Frequency Industry Association (HFIA). The HFIA provides an industry driven forum for the interactive exchange of technical ideas and information in the area of High Frequency communications. The HFIA meets twice a year, usually in conjunction with the Armed Forces Communications Electronics Association (AFCEA) conventions in Washington, D.C. and San Diego, CA.
The JITC works with the HFIA to ensure that the HF Community is aware of current testing efforts and new technologies. The HFTF works to ensure that test methods are understood, and that standards have a common interpretation.
STANAG 5066 Registry
STANAG 5066 "Profile for High Frequency (HF) Radio Data Communications" provides the protocol required to support error-free e-mail over HF radio. This protocol has been implemented and fielded by the U.S. Navy, U.S. Air Force, governmental agencies, and Allies.
The U.S. Navy established an addressing scheme to support Battle Fleet E-mail. This scheme has been widely adopted and expanded to support both the U.S. and our Allies. The following link provides a more detailed explanation of the Global Addressing Schema for STANAG 5066: Global Addressing Schema for STANAG 5066 v1.2.
The JITC is the common Point-of-Contact for DOD, Federal, Civil, and Allied Nations in assigning, maintaining, and documenting STANAG 5066 addresses. The STANAG 5066 Address Registry is divided into 15 Global Regions. The Regional 5066 Addressing Tables display the breakdown by region/country and organization.
Authorized users may contact the JITC for updates, additions, or extracts for operational use. The registry is For Official Use Only by authorized users and not for public dissemination.
