System Description:
The Micom-3 High Frequency Transceiver is a DSP controlled radio with embedded ALE that operates over the 1.6 to 30 MHz frequency range. The radio is completely software defined and upgrading to future technologies is easily done by installing new software into the transceivers DSP module. This radio is available in portable, mobile and fixed station configurations. The Micom-3 is specifically designed for government agencies and is available with a full line of embedded options including GPS tracking, encryption, and analog voice to digital converters. Other options include fax, phone patches, FM to HF cross-band repeater, interface for the VP-116, and a keyboard that plugs into a USB comm. port on the radio. The Micom-3 has a power output of 125 watts PEP/average, but is available with 500 watt, 1 Kw and 4 Kw amplifiers. The radio supports USB, LSB, AME, pilot and CW modes of operation as well as 9600 bps data. This model also has an available 2-wire remote head that extends control of the radio up to 5 KM. Lightweight and compact, the radio is designed to operate under tough environmental and physical conditions, and can be remote controlled via PC.
