    Application Description SmartGate is an application layer VPN product that provides AES encryption and authentication services using DOD CACs, and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) certificates to grant access control. The SmartGate server supports Certificate Revocation Lists (CRLs) and Online Certificate Status Protocol (OCSP) responder services. End users enroll on the server through the SmartPass client to be able to verify their identity.
