The Global Combat Support System-Joint (GCSS-J) supports the Combatant Commands, Joint Task Forces (JTF), and their assigned component commands by providing access to comprehensive command and control and logistics information from authoritative data sources. This access provides the warfighter with a single, end-to-end capability to manage and monitor units, personnel, and equipment through all stages of the mobilization, deployment, employment, and redeployment processes. By providing access to high-level integrated information, GCSS-J enhances the ability of Combatant Commanders and JTF Commanders to make timely, informed decisions based on the near real-time or predicted status of his resources. This integrated planning and current status information will allow the commanders and their staffs to know the logistics impact to the combat operation.

JITC provides Operational Test and Evaluation (OT&E), Net Readiness Key Performance Parameter (NR-KPP), and Cyber Security (SC) evaluation for the GCSS-J program. Potential OT&E/NR-KPP/SC locations include Ft. Meade, Service Management Center-Montgomery, Alabama (SMC-MONT), Defense Enterprise Computing Center - Pacific (DECC-PAC) and other locations to be determined.
