Application Description
Authorization management system that provides privilege management infrastructure, allowing the administration and enforcement of user privileges and transaction entitlements to e-commerce and enterprise resources. Incorporates a policy-based authorization security solution. Uses a two-dimensional grid along with grouping of users and resources to simplify administration. Uses XML and LDAP to embrace all web and non-web-based applications and systems, using existing user data.
Components:
Policy Builder – GUI used to configure SelectAccess
Delegated Administration GUI – web-based interface for SelectAccess administrators
Directory Server – repository for user profiles, resource information & policy data
Validator – point at which access requests are accepted and evaluated on behalf of SelectAccess-enabled applications
Enforcer Plug-in – the plug-in inside an application that queries the validator for authentication
Secure Audit Server – tracks communications between certain components of SelectAcess.
