PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

The Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) is the framework and services that provide for the generation, production, distribution, control, revocation, recovery, and tracking of public key certificates and their corresponding private keys. It supports the ability of PK-enabled applications and devices to identify and authenticate individual users, devices, or processes; to provide source authentication and integrity protection for information transactions; to establish end-to-end encrypted channels between PKI subscribers; and to provide information confidentiality. This program is being developed incrementally with each increment containing multiple spirals.
