  • The Department of Defense (DoD) Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) Interoperability Master Test Plan, version 1.2, dated November 2001: This is the current test plan used by the Joint Interoperability Test Command (JITC) in testing Public Key-Enabled applications for interoperability with the DoD PKI.

  • The DoD, PKI, PKE Application Requirements, version 1.0, dated 13 July 2000: This document describes the requirements for PKE applications to use Public Key technology and interact with the DoD PKI.

  • The DoD, JITC, PKI, Public Key-Enabled (PKE) Application Assessment Worksheet: This worksheet is completed by vendors who are interested in application interoperability testing by the JITC PKE test team. Submit the completed document to: disa.jitc.pke@mail.mil.

  • The DoD, PKI, External Certification Authority (ECA) Master Test Plan, version 1.0, dated August 2003: This is the current ECA test plan used by the JITC.

  • The DoD, PKI, Online Certificate Status Protocol Responder (OCSP) Master Test Plan, version 1.0, dated July 2003: This is the current OCSP test plan used by the JITC.

  • The Network Working Group Request For Comments: 2560, X.509 Internet Public Key Infrastructure Online Certificate Status Protocol - OCSP, dated June 1999: This document specifies a protocol useful in determining the current status of a digital certificate without requiring CRLs. RFC 2560 is the current requirements document for PKE OCSP testing.

  • The DoD, JITC, PKI, PKE OCSP Assessment Worksheet: This worksheet is completed by vendors who are interested in OCSP interoperability testing by the JITC PKE test team. Submit the completed document to: disa.jitc.pke@mail.mil.

  • The Cygnacom Solutions's Conformance Testing of Relying Party Client Certificate Path Processing Logic, version 1.07, dated 28 September 2001: A National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) document that describes tests that are in the testing suite which is used by the PKE test lab.

  • The DoD, X.509 Certificate Policy for the United States Department of Defense, Version 9.0, dated 9 February 2005: This document defines the creation and management of Version 3 X.509 public key certificates for use in applications requiring communication between networked computer-based systems.

  • The DoD Instruction, NUMBER 8520.2 SUBJECT: Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and Public Key (PK) Enabling, dated 1 April 2004: This Instruction: Implements policy, assigns responsibilities, and prescribes procedures for developing and implementing a Department-wide PKI and enhancing the security of DoD information systems by enabling these systems to use PKI for authentication, digital signatures, and encryption.

  • DoD Policy Memo; SUBJECT: Public Key Enabling (PKE) of Applications, Web Servers, and Networks for the Department of Defense (DoD), dated 17 May 2001: A memorandum from the Acting DoD Chief Information Officer, Mr Linton Wells II.
